Although there is no one size fits all formula for a great landing page, there are some essential elements that are often overlooked. A successful landing page is more than a gorgeous image paired with your logo and these quick tips will help you understand what you need on your homepage to make that amazing first impression, gain trust and move them to action.

Tips for an amazing landing page:
  • You need great headlines. Clear and to the point but not at all boring
  • You must streamline your content and design and focus on a clear call to action
  • Your buttons and call to actions must stand-out
  • Your images must relate to the copy and your business
  • You must put your key information and images above the fold. (The space visitors see without having to scroll is considered above the fold)
  • You should include key trust factors on the homepage if possible (testimonies, recognized badges etc.) but don't go over the top with these
  • You should not include too many links connecting to other sites as they are distracting and have a negative impact
  • You need to communicate what readers should do next
